A PERSONAL BLOG · SINGAPORE · CHIN SWEE ROAD

Night pages kept on the Chin Swee slope before they cool.

I am Elise. I live near Blk 54 and write small, first-person pages about ordinary evenings — kopitiam tables, stair flights, the pause before crossings — rooted in this central-south neighbourhood.

These are not guides and not news. They are night pages — witness notes from a person who walks the same slope most evenings and notices when the lift glow shifts or when the kopitiam keeps one table lit after closing time. If you live near Outram, Pearl's Hill, or the Chin Swee blocks, some entries may feel familiar. If you live elsewhere, I hope the texture translates.

I publish slowly. Five posts and one main article, each with its own photograph, each written in my own voice without an editorial team. Welcome to the slope.

Who keeps these pages

I write at the kitchen table after the lift lobby goes quiet — one person, one neighbourhood, no editorial team behind the words.

SweeDiary is where I keep evenings I do not want to lose: the kopitiam table still lit, the handrail cool under my palm, the lift glow steady when the slope goes quiet. Nothing here is sponsored or optimised for clicks.
